Welcome 🧑🏻‍🏫

✦ With 5+ years of experience, Rittika is a designer, speaker, author and an Imagineer. She believes ‘Good Design’ is a service/product that solves problems, improves lifestyle and enhances user satisfaction through innovation as well as optimistic intervention. She was selected as an Erasmus student to ÉSAD de Reims, France based on her academic merit. She is the recipient of the OCADU Dean scholarship and pursued her M.Des degree from OCAD University, Toronto.

✦ Her expertise lies in Accessibility Design, UX Research, Gerontological Designs, Design Systems and she is a gerontechnology aficionado. She likes crafting digital experiences for elderly netizens & special-abled consumers. She is a member of 'Women Talk Design', an author at INDIAai and a design mentor at UMO Design, recognised for organising the UX INDIA Conference.

✦ Formerly, she has worked for Walt Disney, Toshiba, Govt. of Canada, OCAD University and Total SA across India, Canada and France in domains like technology, healthcare, data analytics, consumer merchandise and academia. Additionally, she is the co-author of two research papers presented at the HCI International 2021 conference (Washington DC). They are published in ResearchGate, ACM Library, Google Books, WHO and SpringerLink.

✦ She has been a keynote speaker at various international conferences, events and educational institutes to promote Accessibility/A11y Design (WCAG 2.1), Digital Rights and Digital Literacy. Currently, she is the Senior Visual Designer at Merkle (a Dentsu Company). Additionally, her interest lies in traveling, reading mystery thrillers, calligraphy and watching movies.

✦ The Canadian Cultural Diversity Dashboard (CCDD)

• An interactive Data Visualization dashboard designed to elicit insights regarding diversity in cultural expressions across Canada. The complex, scalable, heterogeneous, and multivariate data sets that underlie the CCDD are sourced from the population census of Statistics Canada.
• These include demographic factors such as age, geographic location, education level, immigration status, languages spoken, race, Indigenous identity and gender.

✦ Visualizing Wellness: The Myant Skiin System App

• Skiin is a research study for Garment-based Neuroprosthesis, a non-invasive closed-loop neural extension for facilitating the human nervous system function. This paper presents the study of the visualization interface of the Skiin mHealth App.
• This family informatics application will connect family members, friends, and caregivers, by engaging as well as enabling them to share health metrics data based on smart e-textiles.
